Mumbai: Rishi Gaind has been appointed as the Head of Human Resources at the RIL-Disney joint venture. Gaind, who has been with Disney Star since 2019, brings over two decades of experience in HR strategy and talent management.
During his tenure at Disney Star, Gaind worked on shaping HR policies across TV, films, and streaming platforms, focusing on areas like diversity and inclusion. He played a key role in integrating HR practices when Star India merged with Disney India and contributed to the early development of Hotstar, now known as Disney+ Hotstar.
Gaind began his journey with Star in 2002 as an HR business partner for Star News, where he helped grow a diverse team from the ground up. He also supported the launch of new ventures like Star Sports and played a part in shaping HR policies for various business expansions. In his new role, Gaind is expected to focus on strengthening talent strategies as the RIL-Disney JV navigates its growth in the evolving media landscape.
