New Delhi: EaseMyTrip.com has announced Rikant Pitti as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective January 1, 2025. He replaced Nishant Pitti, who resigned from the role on December 31, 2024, citing personal reasons.
Board Approval and Leadership Background
The board of Easy Trip Planners, the parent company of EaseMyTrip, approved Rikant Pitti’s appointment as CEO. A graduate of Kurukshetra University, Pitti has 15 years of experience spanning travel, tourism, human resources, and technology. He has also been recognized in Fortune India’s “40 Under 40” list and is part of the promoter group alongside his brothers Nishant and Prashant Pitti.
Company Performance Amid Transition
EaseMyTrip, India’s second-largest online travel portal, reported mixed financial results for Q2 FY25. While revenue from operations grew by 2.1% year-on-year to ₹144.67 crore, net profit dropped 45.17% to ₹25.87 crore, compared to ₹47.18 crore in the same period last year. The company remains the only profitable online travel portal in India, offering airline tickets, hotel packages, and other travel services.
