Mumbai: FlexiLoans has announced the appointment of Hemant Saklecha as the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at FlexiLoans. In this capacity, Hemant will spearhead the Risk, Policy, and Credit initiatives to strengthen the company’s risk management frameworks.

Hemant brings extensive experience in financial risk, credit risk, and operational and fraud risk management. Before joining FlexiLoans, he worked at Hero FinCorp, where he served as the Head of Retail Policy, Risk, and Fraud Control. During his tenure, he oversaw important aspects of retail risk management, including policy, fraud prevention and investigations, and the implementation of effective risk control measures. In addition, Hemant also played a key role at IDFC FIRST Bank, where led retail banking risk management initiatives in various roles as Head of Retail Banking Risk, Head of Retail Underwriting, and Head of Policy. He was also a core team member in launching IDFC Bank at its inception and contributed immensely to setting up a risk culture and infrastructure in the organization. Furthermore, he has also led the project of successfully launching Retail Asset in India during his stint at DBS Bank, as Head of Retail Policy and Credit.

Hemant is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), with a specialization in Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Financial Forensics, and Fraud Prevention/Investigation. At FlexiLoans, he is expected to support the company in refining its risk policies and ensure that its financial products are delivered securely and responsibly to customers. His expertise in financial forensics is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening FlexiLoans’ Risk Management Framework. His leadership is anticipated to ensure the company’s continued growth and success in a competitive and dynamic marketplace.
