Mandar Donde, Head-Global Corporate & Investment Banking, Bank of America

Bengaluru: Bank of America (BoFA) has appointed Mandar Donde as the Head of Global Corporate and Investment Banking (GCIB) for India, effective April 1, 2025. In addition to this role, Donde will chair the Telecom, Media, and Technology (TMT) investment banking division for the Asia Pacific region, further strengthening the bank’s presence in key markets.

An alumnus of the University of Bath and the University of Rochester-Simon Business School, Donde has been associated with BoFA Securities for over 24 years. As part of the bank’s top leadership reshuffle, he will relocate from Singapore to India to lead the firm’s corporate and investment banking operations. Previously, Donde led BoFA’s TMT division for the Asia Pacific region, where he played a crucial role in expanding the firm’s business across diverse global markets.

With over two decades of experience, Donde’s appointment as Head of GCIB is a strategic move to strengthen BoFA’s investment banking presence in India, particularly as the country’s equity capital market surpasses $70 billion in volumes. His leadership will focus on expanding BoFA’s investment banking and global capital market operations, increasing involvement in large block deals and IPOs, and deepening ties with local clients. His deep understanding of capital markets and India’s financial ecosystem will help BoFA strengthen local client relationships and increase market share in one of the world’s fastest-growing economies.
